Water

Having been born and raised by water, I have always found it comforting, when I am troubled or feeling down, to be near water. It feels healing. I no longer live near the gulf of Mexico, or the Mississippi river so it's not possible to go sit by the beach or waterside when feeling blue.

But there is this nice lake near our home here that sometimes meets the need. Recently, my husband and I were there and I took this wonderful picture of it at sunset.

There is also this lovely small lake in a beautiful cemetery less than a mile from my house. I often go there to think, pray, meditate. I can tell it sometimes worries my family when I go to the graveyard to pray. But it's really about being by that lake. It's so pretty and restful there. Wish I had a picture to share right now, but I don't.

Is there a restful place where you feel comfort, peaceful, and at home?

"For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thou seed, and my blessing upon thy off spring." Isaiah 44:3

I don't know that I have a special place. I usually do my praying wherever I happen to be at the moment. Living by myself allows me to do that sort of thing.
