Red Sky At Morning

Being a night shift worker I rarely see a sunrise. In winter, when I get off at 6am it is usually dark. In the summer, the sun is already up. If it is my off days...well, I'm just going to bed at sunrise.

But the past few mornings, when getting off work, I have witnessed the most glorious sunrises, from the parking lot of the hospital, no less! I took this picture Wednesday morning, the sky was a crimson red. It is not doctored at all, this is just the way it looked! Wow!

I thought of that old saying... “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight. Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning”. Apparently, there is some truth to it as it rained Wednesday afternoon, and now overcast this morning!

Most of us wait to go to the beach, the mountains, or some other scenic getaway to look up. I have found parking lots lately to display some of the most beautiful handiwork that God has to offer.

We just have to make a habit of looking up! Never know what you might see!

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork" Psalm 19:1

Blessings, peace, and all that is good,
Memaw
