THIS...

PLUS...

47 MILLION YEARS

EQUALS...

THIS ?

I've been thinking about this for some time now.

Back in 1993 I took a World Civilization class. The first day, I noticed on the chalk board a glossy 8x10 picture of a slimy toad frog, followed by an + sign, then so many millions of years, followed by an = sign and then an 8x10 glossy of Miss America.

I didn't get it at first. This was a history class and what did that mean? Should I takes notes on that (I'm such a nerd)? The instructor never once referred to the pictures.

And then it dawned on me and I laughed. I got it. The instructor was a christian and apparently it was his way of pointing out how ludicrous the idea of evolution really is.

I thought of this class over and over when the media was making such a big deal about this "Ida" thing (see first picture above, I know it's gross and ugly, sorry).

My question is...why are there not more Ida's evolving into human beings today? I've never been able to understand that. If evolution is true, where oh where is that which is evolving? If that theory is to be believed, I want to see some half Ida's and half humans running around the planet somewhere.

Not happening.

I know.

Ludicrous.

Whatever.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

"And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: " Genesis 1:26

I am very sure that my new grandson did not come for anywhere but gods hand!! Take away faith, hope and love and you end up with people trying to explain something they have no understanding of.. and no answers for.

Amen Debra. Everything in our world points to intelligent design. THIS amazing world of ours doesn't just happen! Too many things are dependant on OTHER things to be in place to survive.

Praise God that He called me as his own, so that I KNOW from where we come.

Provokes thoughts... I don't know, I'm a Christian and of course I beleive in God but I also believe that evolution is a fact. I don't see why evolution could not have been God's method of creation. At least we can agree that God is the creator of everything one way or another!

I haven't heard about Ida. Guess I'm better off from what I just read here. What can I say? We are in deep trouble--man doesn't even know he's talking nonsense anymore. Come Lord Jesus.
