A Reluctant Blogbatical

So...I've been away a little while.

I took a little blogbatical whilst having a severe case of GERDS (gastroesophageal reflux disease), and quite a mean 'bout of arthritis to boot. Upon visiting my doctor with the GERDS he said, "Debra, did you know people die with this?" Well did that ever make me feel all warm and fuzzy! LOL! But I will spare all the other details. Suffice it to say, I'm much better at present (knee still hurts a little, but seems to be getting better).

I was recently honored by Susan over at Penless Writer with this lovely award. Susan is a wonderful christian blogger friend, whose blog has inspired me on many occasions, not only with her love for Jesus, but also with her beautiful plants and gardens. So inspiring, that I finally took the plunge myself and bought a few plants. The above picture is a couple of Petunia baskets I recently adopted and a couple of Boston ferns as well. Again, thank you Susan. Stay tuned to see how the plants hold up!

Another special blogger friend, Colleen, over at Thoughts On Grace, recently honored me with this award. I have enjoyed Colleens blog because she does just as her title to her blog says, and that is, offers thoughts on grace, which has often inspired and encouraged me. Thank you Colleen! In accepting this award I am to list 10 honest things about myself and present the award to 7 other blogger friends whose blogs have offered encouragement.

I will have to pass this award on to all my blogger friends as they all offer me encouragement and inspiration in so many different ways. I've not been visiting much in recent days, but not to worry I will be back soon!

Post on "10 honest things" will be forth coming.

Blessings of Peace and all that is good.

Debra, I am so sorry that you have been sick. I am glad you are doing better. The battle with reflux is very frustrating. I deal with this issue also. I take medication, but is is never quite under control. Any tips you can offer I would greatly appreciate.

Congratualtions on you well-deserved awards. You are most definitely an inspiring woman of God.

Thank you for your comments. Oh, how beautiful the idea that God's word is His love letter to us! We should always read the Bible with this underlying promise in our hearts.

God bless, and take care.

In His Love,

Andrea
