Things Fall Down

So, things have been falling apart at work lately.

No, for real, the fifty year old air conditioning pipes burst in the ceiling and we had a Katrina type flood of blue, freon filled water all over the place. Ceiling tiles and ankle deep, smurf blue water as far as the eye could see.

Thankfully, no patients were injured, but we did have to relocate to another unit for a few days. Not fun at all. Hopefully, we will get a new air conditioning/heating unit out of the deal. I'm not holding my breath though.

Hot! Hot! Hot!

It's been very hot here. Now, I'm not complaining, because hot is always so much better than cold (at least for me). Temps running ninety-seven plus degrees with humidity percentages way on up there, it feels like a very hot sauna when you step outside. If my husband were to be reading this he would quickly add, "and I've got to work out there in that every day". I always feel bad for him in the summertime because of that. My job is inside, but it has its own set of miseries.

Oil Spill

It's OK with me if CNN stops showing that oil gushing into the Gulf Coast anytime it wants to. I appreciate their efforts to keep us informed, but we can now see the oil coming unto our beautiful beaches, we know what's happening. I just want to close my eyes and make it all go away.

Please dear blogger friends, pray with me that it will stop soon. I'm confident that with God's help we will survive this tragedy.

~~~So, that's a few of my rants this early Thursday morning. Thank you for patience and listening.
How about you? What's happening in your world? All rants accepted.~~~
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(Roman8:38-39)
I've got no rants or complaints today. It's warm and sunny, less humid, and we're off for a L-O-N-G drive to our cabin in Ohio for a family reunion.
Well even your 'rants' are filled with grace - how do you do that? (hee hee)
We don't live anywhere near your area, but Debra, we've been praying daily for that oil spill to be stopped. We pray for the fishermen and business owners and workers in that area and for the wildlife and for the environment. Like you - I just want to see it stopped. Unbelievable.
Sorry to hear about the pipes at work bursting. Aren't ya glad God never gives us more than we can handle - AND - He helps us through it all?
((Hugs))
That is one of my favorite scriptures in the Bible. Like you, I pray for an end to this horrific disaster in the Gulf.
I hope the AC is fixed soon for you and the patients. I remember when my mother died. It was one of the hottest June's on record and the power went out in the hospital. It was unbelievable and unconceivable and my mother went into a comma that night. They finally moved her to ICU where they had back up power.
Our power went out for about two hours late afternoon. I sat outside in the swing, no breeze and miserable. It aggravates my RA.
That's it for me today. Thanks for sharing and listening.
So sorry to hear the oil is getting onto your beaches. I think we have a LONG way before this mess is cleaned up - if it ever is. But we know God is in control no matter what the enemy throws at us. He is throwing wildly. I cannot tell you how many I know that are reporting attacks on every side. I am glad I believe God and stand on His promises. I know you do to, Debra.
No rants today. Whenever I hear more news on the oil spill, I think of you & of my Pastor friend in LA. Praying...
Not too much happening here. I know what you mean about the news reports. I can't stand to look. Especially when they show the wildlife.
Sorry to make you feel bad, but we're having great weather. Low humidity in the eighties. Don't need the air.
Sorry about your broken things. I'm sure our turn will come.
I feel so bad for all of you that way, with the oil spill and all. It just has to be so discouraging. Yes I will pray.
It's been pretty hot here as well. 97 degrees but we don't have to humidity like you...thank God!
My moving progress is going so slow, probably would go a little faster if I'd get off here, right?
Have a blessed weekend.
