Sometimes Dreams Really Do Come True

(I finally got to visit the Billy Graham library in Charlotte, NC and yes it is all I ever thought it would be!)

Good morning everyone and a very happy new year to ya!

Hard to believe it is now 2011. This post will read 1/1/11.

Time keeps marching on.

Don't have much to say except I hope all of you had a very safe and pleasant new years eve. The hubby and I brought new years in this year the way we have often done in years past. Just the two of us-- watching the ball drop in Times Square. Not in person mind you, but on TV. It's kinda nice watching all the celebration and hullabaloo going on from the comfort of my nice, warm place--in my pj's and all comfortable.

As I look back on the year that has just past, I'm thankful for all the blessings God has sent my way. I'm also thankful for the strength that He has given me through the difficult days as well. I look forward to the days ahead.

I'm just thankful. He is a good God.

Blessings everyone, peace & all that is good.
Debra

(Truly, I am very happy in this picture standing in front of the Billy Graham Library.I know I look like I'm frowning. It's just my hubby snaps the picture about the same time he says smile! If he could just give me a second longer...lol)

Hi Debra,

It sounds like you had a wonderful New Years with your husband. My husband & I stayed home also, and were in our pj's.

I like your post, and how you express your thankfulness even in difficult days.

God bless you, & Happy New Year

Billy Graham is one of my favorites and I love the cross windows in the end of the library.

In all things give thanksgiving.
May this new year be full of promise and many blessings.

I live near Charlotte and I have visited Billy Grahams library yet. The kids went during Christmas and said it was truly beautiful.
This is my first visit here today. I have decided to follow along, please stop by Grace and follow along with me too.
Blessings,
Bren

Dear Debra, Thank you for your sweet comment on my blog. I loved reading about your New Year's eve-hubby and I didn't make it til midnight but I did hear some folks shooting off their guns.
Have a delightful week and splendid New Year.
Hugs, Noreen

Happy New Year Debra! It's a nice photo of you. We don't have to smile to be happy on the inside. What a beautiful setting. I've never been there, so thanks for sharing. I didn't make it until midnight, though I had much the same plans as you did - minus my dear Officer Friendly, of course.

We spent New Years eve exactally the same way..we do every year and it suits me just fine!
It's easy to thank God for the good things but to also give thanks for carrying us though the hard times is vital. It's beautiful to see you do that.
Blessing on you and yours this new year.

Can't help but smile at your last comment! Whenever I get my picture taken... they ALWAYS snap it before they say so!! At least that's MY excuse for the resulting photo...
