Piety Street (New Orleans) 1959
Our next move was to a house on Piety St. less than 2 miles from the house on Flood St.
This was an unusual house because it was not a “shot gun” house. It was a pretty house and one that we could not afford. Hence the very short stay there.
Two things stand out in my memory about this house.
One, there was a beautiful chandelier in the living room, and two, there was a room painted aqua blue.
For some reason a room painted this color still makes me uncomfortable, why…I really don’t know.
Brief stay…brief memories.
