New York State Of Mind

This will most likely be my last post before leaving for NYC! We will travel to New Orleans tomorrow evening and then catch an early non-stop flight to NYC on Thursday. The hotel where we are staying does have an Internet room, so maybe I'll get to do a few short post from there.

My husband and I have been looking forward to this trip for some time. It has become one of our favorite places to visit. With the economy being in the shape that it is in, and I might add, our pocketbooks, this will probably be our last trip for a good while. Just a few of the things I am excited about doing...

*** Walking through Central Park and enjoying the fall foliage
*** Attending Times Square Church, this church was founded by David Wilkerson, author of the book "The Cross and the Switchblade"
*** Going to a New York Jets game, & Bret Farve had better be having a good day! Look for us on Sunday October 12th Jets vs Cincinnati Bengals, hey surely you will be able to see us on TV! Have I ever mentioned I love football?
*** My other new found favorite sport Ice Hockey! We will be going to a NY Ranger game at Madison Square Gardens.

That's it! Hopefully it will all go as planned. I do have some concerns though as we leave town. My daughter has not been feeling well and has been in pain. My youngest son called me this morning and he has what sounds like either the flu or virus of some kind. Also, we have several elderly and frail church members in the hospital. My sister in laws mother is in critical condition.

So I hope everyone will be alright.

As evangelist Fred Luter recently preached, "it may be over my head, but it's all under God's feet.

Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet.

Blessings, peace and all that is good,
Memaw

Oh!!! I want to go too!! I just love NY!! That is probably why people sell T-Shirts that say this..but I already know when you will be going back for sure, in 3 years when Britt graduates. She wants us to take her there, and we are the girls that can do it! Thanks for showing how much fun it is to travel and giving me NY fever! Have lots of fun and smiles as you eat a piece of pizza for me! I love ya!
