Catching Up, Catching On & Catching My Breath!

I've been out of pocket for a few days...did anyone notice? LOL! My oldest son had sinus surgery and we went to be with him and his family for a few days. More for moral support, really. It was a joy though, to be with them even if my son was "a little drugged" during our time there. Ha! Ha! But really he did just fine and hopefully will be fully recovered soon!

Back on January 7, I was honored to be tagged for the very first time by Dust Bunny Hostage with the Proud Bookworm Award. To be honest, I didn't know what being tagged meant...but I'm catching on...I think? The rules are to grab the closest book to you and to find the 5th sentence on page 46. Write that sentence, plus 2-5 more sentences.

My nearest book, was the book I was reading called "The Shack" by Wm. Paul Young. The 5th and following sentences on page 46 read as follows...

"Word of the water rescue had reached the little two-room camp headquarters ahead of them, and everyone there was in high spirits. This changed quickly as the three took turns explaining Missy's disappearance. Fortunately the office had a photocopier, and Mack enlarged half a dozen pictures of Missy, handing them around".

I'm only halfway through this book, but I can tell you it is a book that will make you think about a lot of things. As it says on the back of the book cover..."THE SHACK wrestles with with the timeless question: Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?" Stay tuned for a full review when I've completed reading it.

I don't know where time has gone since January 1st! Not only has time gone by quickly, but change seems to be everywhere. Not only for our nation, but in my own personal life, as well. Did I give Obama permission to do THAT? LOL!

The Chemical Dependency unit I work on is experiencing major changes in the way we do things. My husbands job has had major changes. I have a few new health issues to address. So much going on I can hardly catch my breath!

But I find comfort in knowing "that all things work for good, to those that love the Lord"!Romans 8:28

Blessings, peace & goodness to all

The Shack is definitely one of those must read, because it makes you think and gets us to expand our mindset, books.

Yes, change is in the air all around us. Life is changing in the U.S. and hopefully in the Church as we are drawn into prayer.

MeMaw! I just got finished reading that book! Please let me know how you like it. I thought it was a good book overall but there were parts I didn't like. I can't wait to see how you like it.

Oh, and Romans 8:28 is one of my favorite verses in the entire Bible. You just know me so well MeMaw :)

Ah, healthcare in general is undergoing such major shifts --I hope the changes your unit is undergoing aren't making patient care more difficult.

I AM READING THAT BOOK! I just started it last night, so I am not very far into it. When I read those sentences you listed, I will think of you!!

Hope you have had a good weekend.

Someone just loaned us The Shack, and I've heard so much about it around blogland, now my curiosity is piqued and I'm going to have to get to it!
Hope your son is beginning to feel better. That was nice that you were able to visit and help out.
2008 was a huge change for Sunny and I spiritually, so we're primed and ready for what the Lord has in store!
Have a wonderful week.
