A Shrimping Experience?

It was suppose to be a 70 minute shrimp boat tour.

Who knew that I would fall in love?

With the Seagulls that is. I had never seen them quite this close before. I was absolutely amazed by their beauty.

For the space of one hour and ten minutes, they hovered and flew around the shrimp boat, soaring in and out, over and around. They knew that lunch would soon be served.

Their feathers seemed so soft and looked like velvet.

They were just so cute!

I stayed on top of the boat the entire trip, missing everything the captain had to say about catching shrimp...missing the demonstration as well. These birds were just so beautiful and captivating, I could not take my eyes off them.

Finally, lunch has arrived! As the captain reeled in the trolling net, full of shrimp and small fish, the seagulls swooped in! It was quite a sight to see! I must have took a hundred pictures out there. All of the seagulls!

Well, I took one picture of the captain. "Hey lady! You want to come down now? The shrimp boat tour is over!"

"Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10: 29-31

My son CAUGHT a sea gull this weekend. He was fishing with his dad and the gulls were diving after his line. One got tangled up and they had to get him loose (SO glad the hook didn't get him). Didn't surprise me a bit that the boy caught a bird :)
