Dog Days of Summer

Folks, it is hot here in the south. Yesterday, it was 104 degrees in the shade. I'm sure the heat index had to be at least 110! I know that when I am hot, everyone else is on fire. It's days like this that I wonder if Al Gore might have been right. Oh, I know, probably not, but yet...maybe he had a point! Just saying.

Speaking of dogs...

Please note the beautiful dog pictured above. Is that not the most beautiful dog in the whole wide world? No, that's not my dog. I'm not even a dog person, but I love this breed of dog. They are called Weimaraners and I can't stop looking at them. Isn't he cute? I just love their beautiful gray, silky coats and their gorgeous blue gray eyes. I read they can be very energetic, lovable and crazy acting. Of course, I would be drawn to crazy, even in dogs. What is that about me? Never mind, don't answer that!

I don't think I'll ever be a pet owner, but if I ever change my mind, this will be my kind of dog.

Happy Monday to all! Ya'll stay cool now, ya hear!

Blessings of peace & all that is good
.

It's hot-hot here, too. 105 degrees predicted for today. My biggest worry about this heat is trying to get my husband to stay out of it. He is so concerned about the yard.....I could care less about the mowing of the yard...it's him I worry about in this heat. Pray for us!!!

Hi Debra: Blogger doesn't let me comment with my ID, so I'm anonymous, I guess. Loved the dog pic. Cute little one! Yesterday there was a Dog Days of Summer fest in an area of town where I had to go to a yarn shop. Folks were strolling the shopping district with their pooches. There were TONS of dogs taking their owners out! Your post reminded me of that.

Hi Debra,
It was cooler here yesterday but the mercury is inching up there today. We're not as hot as you have been - my goodness, I also have been wondering about Al Gore's greenhouse theory. We're not even into the 'dog-days' here yet and our air-conditioner has been going non-stop.
Funny isn't it, that in the cold winters up here they call it a '3-dog-night' and in the hot summers it's called 'the dog days'. Wonder what's up with all the dog references? lol
Beautiful dog photo though. I agree, very silky looking coat.
Hugs and blessings,
Deb

That's a sweet pooch!

Sorry about your heat wave...we're not having one here in the northwest, and I'm pretty happy about it.

What a cutie he is.
Hot here in AR too. My garden is burning up. Its so hot and humid I can hardly breathe outside. I hate the summers here. I'm a Colorado girl. I can take the heat if the humidity wasn't there in the midst of it!

have a good week dear.

Hot here in Michigan too. My weeds have taken over my flower beds because its too hot to go out and work on them!
I love those dogs too, they are so expressives. LIke you, I'm not a dog person either, but we once had a Brittany that I really loved.
Try to stay cool!

Oh my its really hot at your place. We 've been having dog days since March and till continue till Oct. The scanty rain offers a tiny relief at times.

I love that dog.

Hot! Hot! Hot! It is just so hot!

Love the pooch. I don't recommend huskies - they are too hyper.
