The Dance

And so it was, he asked me to dance. I said yes.

For 37 years we have danced. Through good times and bad, for richer and poorer, in sickness and health, young days and old, good moods, and bad, babies, teenages, weddings, grandchildren, pallet parties, beauty pagents, basketball, football, baseball, surgeries, colic, pneumonia, concussions, broken arms, appendicitis, tonsilitis, bronchitis, kidney stones, hernias, radiation, chemo, great vacations, and not so great, births and death of loved ones.

What makes a marriage endure? Is is commitment? Faith in God? Love? Trust? Stubborness? Could it be all of the above? Yes.

And could it also be the idea, that going into marriage, divorce is not an option? It does not even exist? Yes.

He was my Knight in Shining Armor 37 years ago.
He's still my Knight in Shining Armor.

And I'm still loving "the dance".

Debra + Wallace 4 ever
I love you

Happy Anniversary!
