Farewell To Friends: 1994-2009

Today, will be a very difficult and sad day for my husband and I as we say goodbye to our little church family.

He has been their pastor for the last 15 years and we have been blessed beyond measure to have known them.

The most peaceful church we have ever had the good pleasure of belonging to.

The strongest and finest Christians anywhere.

We will miss them.

**Please pray for us as my husband and I seek the Lord's direction from here. Change is necessary, but not always easy.

**Blessings everyone.

HI Debra!!!
So glad you found my blog and then I found yours!!! I love making a new friend everyday!!!!
God Bless you and your dear Hubby as you leave a safe and secure setting for the unknown, but Yes, God has a Plan for you and your family and it may just be a better place. I so enjoy seeing how others live and where and how we all have so many things that make us alike yet we are all so different too!! I love the lOrd with all my heart and my family means the world to me, so for that we are the same a KIndred Spirit is what I like to call it!!!
God Bless you and hugs to you my dear,

Dear Debra,
I know this is both a sad day but also a joyful day for you and your hubby. Sad because it is always hard to pull ourselves away from the safety of the shore and the known. Joyful because you are being led and obedient and trusting yourself out into the unknown but knowing you are in the safe, loving hands of Him who loves us most and best.

It will be a blessing to us, your blog friends, to follow your journey as He leads you on and next.
((hugs))
Susan

I'm so proud that you two wonderful people have the strength to walk away from something you love so much. I know that you know that this type of strength comes from God alone and that you can trust Him. I will be praying that He leads you swiftly into the next chapter of your lives. Love you guys!

I will keep you and your husband in my prayers as you seek the Lord's will. My husband and I are also in a transition phase. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the PASTOR to PASTOR program available free from Focus on the Family, but they have really good resources available. My husband has been listening to "Transition's in a Pastor's Life" and says it is really good. I've listened to several of them and enjoyed them. If you are interested, there are located at http://www.parsonage.org/p2p/ .

It is so hard to leave a church home in which you have truly become a family! 15 years is a long time! May God comfort your hearts and lead you on your new journey.

Sending you a cyber hug, (((Debra)))!

Stacey
