ImageChef Sketchpad - ImageChef.com So...for the first time ever I went to the doctor with one major complaint! I said, "Doctor, I am so tired".

I have no reason to be tired. I haven't done anything at all. Yes, I've gone to work, but my job is not a physical one. Mentally, it's very taxing but not physically. I feel aches all over. My muscles cramp often. I get short of breath once in a while and sometimes it takes great effort just to walk across the room. And why is it that I stay COLD ALL the time? It's 104 degrees outside and when I walk into a building with air conditioning I have to put a coat on!

And then there's that little issue of feeling blue, sad, down and out, when I know in my heart I have much to rejoice about. That's difficult and shameful for me to admit but I guess it's time I share it with a few of my blogger friends and anyone else that has access to the Internet (*smile*).

So, OK...forget the one complaint. I have many.

The good doctor orders a ton of lab work. Seems my thyroid is not working so well. Hypothyroidism it's called. At least he THINKS that may be the problem.

Today, when the sun comes up, I'm back to the doctor again for more test to confirm the hypothyroidism.

I covet your prayers and as always my heart and prayers to the many blogger friends whose burdens are so much greater than mine.

Blessings of peace and all that is good,
Debra

I'm so sorry you are feeling tired...and all...I completely understand...in fact I feel the same way all the time. However, at the current moment I am in a crisis of notearleftinbybodyosis...I feel ashamed because so mnay people have lost their children...mine has simply gone away to college...shame on me...feel better soon... I'm afraid I wouldn't be of much help if I called...two blues don't mix into sunshine yellow!!
I love you
Jen

Debra, It sounds very much like a physical problem is the source of your blues. Don't be down on yourself for feeling down. It's part of life. If it goes on for too long after the problem with your thyroid is solved, seek more help. Don't struggle needlessly. Loving and prayerful thoughts for you today and everyday.

I can relate to all you are saying. I recently started taking synthroid for my problem too. It was just a little low, but on the lowest dose it is now in the acceptable range. I can't say I feel a discernable difference, but I trust that I would notice if I stopped taking it.
Also, I now take an antidepressant..again the lowest dosage. I thought my problem stemmed from the care and passing of my mother...and now I was over it. Apparently, it's more physical than that. I Need the seratonin levels to be consistant, and on this medication they are. What a blessing to find this out!
I pray for widsom and knowledge for your Dr. and that you will soon be feeling well!
Hugs!

Just because I'm still praising JESUS doesn't mean that I have all the energy in the world to do so :) Honey, I'm experiencing all of those same things except being cold! It is so hot and humid in AR -But I am exhausted the moment I get out of bed. It just never goes away. I drag my feet and feel as if my legs can't hold me up a lot of the time. I'm just scooting by. I hear ya! Don't feel badly that you are so tired. Sometimes it's life and sometimes it physical and some times it's chemical imbalance. I probably suffer from all three :).

I am sorry that you are feeling this way. It is debilitating, isn't it? I will pray that you find relief soon.

Hugs to you

As soon as I started reading, I immediately thought...hypothyroidism. I thought I had it too, but my test was negative. From what I've heard about it, it's an easy thing to fix, and you'll be feeling good as new in no time!

Just like Debby, as I was reading this, I thought 'thyroid', before I heard what the dr. said. It can mess up everything, and it just sounds like the symptoms I've always heard about. Whatever it is... the tests are good and should give the right direction to the dr.

Praying for "God's touch"... the best one of all!

Hugs!

Well its been three days and I am late arriving. So what did the good doctor say? Come on out with it. Tell all. I know a person with this condition. Take care!
